Hawaii Pacific University jumped up 10 places in the newest list of U.S. News & World Report’s best colleges in the western region.
It’s now ranked 71st place among colleges in the region, tied with four other campuses.
This year’s increase comes on the heel’s of a six-place leap last year, meaning that the university has jumped 16 places in two years — an increase that officials say is uncommon.
Meanwhile, the University of Hawaii’s Shidler College of Business placed 14th on the report’s list of best undergraduate international business programs, placing among those offered at universities such as Michigan State University and the University of Washington.
The school also jumped to 119th place from 141st place in the report’s best undergraduate business program category.
The University of Hawaii at Manoa as a whole ranked 158th in the list of best colleges across the country.
