State Rep Wants Donovan Reinstated as UH Athletic Director

The day after the University of Hawaii cleared Jim Donovan of any wrongdoing in the canceled Stevie Wonder concert, state Rep. Mark Takai called on school officials to reinstate him as athletics director.

"Jim has brought reinvigorated UH athletics and has dedicated his life to his alma mater. We can’t afford to lose Jim’s passion and expertise at this important time of transitions for our athletic program," Takai said.

UH hasn’t said where Donovan will be placed, but his base salary of more than $200,000 will remain the same.
